Tim Hoy is the author of the Detective Inspector Tessa Grantley trilogy: Still Death, Honor Role and Intent.   As a lawyer and senior vice president of Wasserman Media Group, based in the company’s Los Angeles office, he works with professional athletes, including a number of prominent NBA, WNBA and MLB players.  His job takes him to China often, as well as other overseas locations, such as Qatar and the UK. He has spent extensive time in Australia and hopes to spend even more time there.

A native of Ohio and graduate of Oberlin College, UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, and the University of Michigan Law School, Hoy is active in Democratic Party politics and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. He is currently secretary of VoteRiders, a nonprofit which assists citizens with obtaining voter identification.  

His crossword puzzles have appeared in The New York Times.

His next novel, which Hoy recently completed, Westside Story, is a coming-of-age thriller/family saga set in the posh coastal neighborhoods of Los Angeles, where he lives in a state of happily unmarried singleness.
